Directions

1. From the Train station (the "Gara de Nord" train station)

By bus- Take bus no 85 for 6 stops, get off at the 6th stop (the "Gradina Cismigiu" stop, in front of a McDonalds). Our hostel is 1 minute away, up the street, above the "Heaven Night Club"( just continue walking up the street in the direction the bus is going and you will see the night club’s sign on the left side of the street , on the 2nd floor. That is actually our balcony )
By subway- Take the M1 subway line from the "Gara de Nord" station for one stop, to "Piata Victoriei". Change to the M2 subway line and take the next         subway for 2 stops, to the "Universitatate" stop. From there, you will have a 3 minutes walk to the hostel.
OR
- Take the M1 subway line for 6 stops to the “Izvor” stop. You will have a 10 minutes walk to the hostel from there.
By taxi - it is pretty close to the train station, so a taxi shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes and 6 RON (=1.8 euro)

2. From the "Henri Coanda"airport and "Baneasa" airport.

By bus - take the Express Bus no 783 to the "Piata 21 Dec 1989" stop. You will have a 3 minutes walk from there to the hostel.
By taxi - we don't advise you to take one, because it is definitely not good value for money. Despite this, if you want to take a cab, it shouldn't charge you more than 50 RON (=15 euro).

LANDMARK: "HEAVEN NIGHT CLUB". We don't have a light sign yet but wen you have found our building (no. 30) - there is a Bank Transilvania on the ground floor - go in the night cub entrance, we are on the 1st floor.

N.B. THERE ARE 2 BUILDINGS WITH THE SAME NUMBER ( 30 ) ON THIS STREET, JUST GUIDE YOURSELVES AFTER THE LANDMARKS WE HAVE PROVIDED. THE OTHER NO 30 IS A SHOE SHOP AND IT'S NEXT TO A SUPERMARKET. IT IS NOT US !!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!!!

REMEMBER: 1 EURO=3.50~3.80 LEI/RON/NEW LEI (THEY ARE ALL THE SAME THING)

There is a guy who scams travelers in Bucharest, please watch out for him and help us catch him!!! He is blond, tall, well dressed and speaks very good English, he says his name is Albert and he is Israeli.

He will sometimes tell you that Bucharest is dangerous and you should go with him, he will take you to a safer place/or the bus stop to Brasov cause that is safer. He also sometimes tells you that in our hostel has been a murder one night before and that you shouldn’t come here.

His usual story is that everything in Bucharest is closed for 3 days and you have to hurry up if you want to buy things or tickets . He then wants to take you to the “tourist park” and the taxi (it is probably a taxi hired by him) will charge you 300 lei (~90 euros) for a 5 minute taxi ride and take you back for the same price.

We need your help with this. Please try and get the NAME of the company or/and PLATE NUMBER of the taxi or a PICTURE of the guy!
