Description
"The Midland Youth Hostel 2" is situated 100 meters away from "Piata Romana"(which is right on the shopping street of Bucharest). Just behind the hostel you can find the only fruit and vegetables market in the center of Bucharest, and around it there is everything a traveler needs – banks, supermarkets, bars (the best bars in Bucharest – Tonka, Planters, Qpub and Green Hours), the famous restaurant “La mama”, etc. The "Cismigiu Park" lies 10 minutes away from the hostel. "Piata Romana" is one of the key points in Bucharest so you will find there the best links to the train station, the airports or the rest of the city (please see the “Map and Directions” section for more details). The French Embassy is right across the street from us, which makes us the safest hostel in town!
And still it is a remarkably quiet area even if it’s in the center!
"The Midland Youth Hostel 2" sleeps 33 in 3 mixed dorms (6, 10 and 14 beds) a single room and a double room. There is also a huge lounge with a skylight and a big fully furnished kitchen. In the lounge you will have access at all times at a flat screen TV with dozens of national and international channels, a DVD player, a projector ( sometimes we have movie nights) ,a shelf with books of all kinds and languages ( it's a book exchange service). The kitchen is provided with a coffee filter, an electric cooker, 2 microwave ovens and a big fridge. You will have here free internet access and breakfast is included. There is air conditioning in all rooms.
There are 3 showers, 3 toilets,, 2 sinks, 2 regular mirrors and a huge one in one of the bathrooms, as well as a basket with common goods where you can usually find shampoo, shower gel, soap, shaving foam, deodorant etc.
